MALPICA

Dependiendo del oleaje nos fuimos moviendo de un lado a otro. Malpica fue nuestra segunda playa en visitar.

Malpica es el pueblo pesquero con más actividad de toda la costa de Galicia. Por el lado contrario del puerto están la playa y muchos restaurantes. En su lonja se pueden encontrar todo tipo de pescado.

Malpica is the busiest fishing village down the coast of Galicia. On the opposite side of the harbor are the beach and many restaurants. In your auction you can find all kinds of fish.

La playa mide unos 400 metros de longitud y 20 de amplitud, de arena blanca y fina, y con fuerte viento y oleaje. Su nivel de ocupación en verano es alto, aunque debo decir que cuando yo fui hacía buen tiempo y había mucha gente decidida a tomarse un baño y a tomar el sol.

The beach is about 400 meters long and 20 wide, fine white sand, and with strong wind and waves. Their level of occupancy in summer is high, although I have to say that when I was the weather was good and were many people decided to take a swim or sunbathe.

La playa de Malpica en si no tiene mucho encanto, pero sí los servicios. En algunos restaurantes del pueblo están los mejores pescados y mariscos, donde los más destacados son: O Burato (por su antigüedad), Isidoro y San Francisco (por las preciosas vistas al mar). A las 17:00 de los días laborales tiene lugar una subasta de pescados que es muy interesante de ver.

Malpica beach itself hasn't charm, but yes the services. RAZO

Durante años habíamos visto como muchos amigos se iban en verano a campamentos de surf en Galicia, y siempre me quedaba con las ganas de ir… Pero por fin, después de haber superado la temida selectividad, mi amiga María y yo nos decidimos y comenzamos a buscar y organizar.

Nuestro campamento, Galicia Surf Camp, estaba muy cerca de la playa de Razo, y por eso comienzo por esta.

Localizada en la provincia de A Coruña, y más concretamente en Carballo; está en la zona de A Costa da Morte, que abarca la zona costera desde A Coruña a Muros. Mide alrededor de 1300 metros, hasta llegar a las marismas de Baldaio, su anchura es de 30 metros aproximadamente, compuesta por arena blanca, con frecuente viento y un fuerte oleaje que hacen de esta playa un sitio ideal para practicar el surf y por ello se pueden encontrar diversos campamentos cerca como son: Raz Surf Camp, Galicia Surf Camp o Art Surf Camp.

COVA D'EN XOROI

Fui hace bastantes años a Menorca con mi familia y uno de los lugares marcados en el mapa fue éste.

Bar de día, discoteca de noche, es un lugar cargado de mitología donde puedes tomarte un aperitivo a cualquier hora contemplando espectaculares vistas con música down tempo music de fondo. Cada año se celebran los festivales ambient de música en directo que traen a los mejor artistas del ámbito nacional.

CALA PREGONDA

El año pasado cuando visité Menorca con mis amigos nos dijeron que las playas más espectaculares de la isla estaban en el norte, y al encontrar esta playa, no lo pongo en duda.

Last year when I went to Menorca with my friends people told us that the most spectacular beaches of the island were in the north, and when I found this beach, I didn't doubt.

Cala Pregonda es una playa mítica de la isla. A pesar de que cerca se ven construcciones, podría decirse que se trata de una playa virgen.

Cala Pregonda is a mythical island beach. Although the buildings are near, you could say that this is a virgin beach.

Desde Ciutadella, saliendo por la C-721 hacia Ferreries, es Mercadal (Me-15), Binissarraia, Cases noves hasta llegar al camino de Caió. También existe otra ruta para llegar; desde la playa de Binimel-là se tarda 20 minutos caminando por un camino fácil, no requiere esfuerzo físico.

There is another route to reach too, from Binimel-là beach you can walk during 20 minuts in an easy way, that not requieres a big physical effort. Mide 170x60 metros, aguas cristalinas, arena fina y rojiza y protegida del mar abierto por unos islotes rocosos. Me encanta. La vi y pensé: “¡directa al blog!”.
Si todo va viento en popa en junio la visitaré y os diré como es verla, sentirla…

It measures 170x60 meters, crystal clear waters, fine and reddish sand and it's protected from the open sea by a rocky islets. I love it. I saw it and I thought: "direct to the blog!". If everything goes correctly I will visit it in June, and I'll tell you as to see it, feel it ...

CALA BINIGAUS

Un poco más alejada de Cala Galdana y de cala Trebalúger, he encontrado esta calita perteneciente al municipio de Migjorn Gran.

Desde Ciutadella cogiendo la salida C-721 con la carretera de Ciutadella a Maó hasta Ferreries. Desde ahí cogeremos la dirección hacia es Migjorn Gran hasta llegar hasta Santo Tomás, donde se encuentra la cala.

Playa aislada, rústica, y con ocupación que varía dependiendo del mes. De arena blanca, aguas claras y tranquilas. Es la playa central de 3 seguidas. Como suele pasar en Menorca, la cala está rodeada de una gran zona de bosque. También se la suele llamar Binicodrell.

Isolated beach, rustic, and occupation varies depending on the month. White sand, clear waters. It's the central beach of 3 in a row. As usually happens in Menorca, the cove is surrounded by a large area of forest. It's also often called Binicodrell.

CALA TREBALÚGER

Investigando diferentes calas para mostraros, he encontrado esta cala menorquina que me ha llamado la atención, al igual que todas las que publico en mi blog.

Cala Trebalúger está muy cerca de Cala Galdana. Desde Ciutadella, cogiendo la carretera de Ciutadella a Maó (Me-1) seguimos la dirección hacia Ferreries, y desde ahí, hacia Son Arro, pasando por es Mercadal, Alaior, Polígon Industrial Poima (RM) donde deberéis desviaros hacia Sant Lluís hasta llegar a Biniancolla.

Cala Trebalúger is very close to Cala Galdana. From Ciutadella, taking the road to Maó (Me-1) we have tomfollow the direction to Ferreries, and from there to Son Arro, passing es Mercadal, Alaior, Polígon Industrial Poima(RM) where you'll have to turn away until you get to Sant Lluís to Biniancolla.

Pero también existe otros modos de llegar: si no vais en coche y os apetece dar un paseo, podéis llegar a la cala desde Cala Mitjana cogiendo el Camí de Cavalls; o con una barca.

But there is also other ways to get there: if you go by car and you want walk, you can go to the cove from Cala Mitjana per Camí de Cavalls, or with a boat.

Se trata de una cala larga y ancha, de 190m x 160m. Arena blanca y fina y rodeada de pinares. En ella desemboca un riachuelo que de tanto en tanto tiñe las aguas de la playa por la composición de algunas algas; aún así el agua sigue siendo apta para el baño porque no tiene nada que ver con la contaminación, es simplemente un proceso natural.

It's a long, wide bay of 190m x 160m. Fine white sand and surrounded by pine trees. Sin duda alguna, si este año no tengo ningún examen en las fechas de San Juan, visitaré esta playa en el mes de junio.

ES TRENC

Y llego a la última playa que publicaré de Mallorca. Quedan muchísimas e igual de bonitas, pero el mundo a pesar de ser un pañuelo, esconde muchos rincones que enseñar.

I come to publish the latest beach in Mallorca. There're many and equally beautiful beaches, but the world despite being a scarf, hides many places to teach.

Posiblemente la playa más conocida de la isla, terminamos el recorrido en la playa de Es Trenc, declarada espacio natural en 1984. Puedes llegar por transporte público. Si tienes tu propio vehículo, deberás conducir hasta Campos, y nada más llegar, verás unos carteles que apuntan direccion “Sa Rápita”. En el camino a “Sa Rápita” encontrarás un cartel que apunta hacia “Ses Covetes”. Continúa hasta el final, donde finalmente llegarás ahí. Aparca tu vehículo poco antes del final de la carretera (el servicio de aparcamiento cuesta 3€).

Possibly the most famous beach of the island, we ended the tour in Es Trenc beach, nature reserve declared in 1984. You can go with public transport. If you have your own vehicle, you must lead to Campos, and the moment you arrive, you'll see some signs pointing direction "Sa Rápita. On the way to "Sa Rápita" find a sign pointing to "Ses Covetes". Aunque es una playa turística, tiene ese carácter intacto salvaje. Mide 3 kilómetros de largo, gracias a la lucha de miles de personas que en el siglo XX lucharon contra la urbanización masiva de la zona. De aguas tan claras como el agua pura y con una profundidad considerable ya que puedes caminar 15-20 metros que el agua tan solo alcanzará las rodillas. Rica vegetación formada principalmente por: pinos, sabinares y dunas cubiertas por espesos matorrales.

En verano, durante los meses de julio y agosto, se celebra cada sábado la fiesta conocida como “El último paraíso”. Cada fin de semana, cientos de jóvenes se reúnen en el chiringuito de la playa para disfrutar de una fiesta única, con música, mojitos y todo esto a la orilla del mar.

In summer, during the months of July and August, is held every Saturday the party known as "The Last Paradise". Every weekend, hundreds of youngs meet at the beach bars to enjoy a unique celebration with music, mojitos and all this at the seashore.


No solo por todo esto es una de las playas más espectaculares, sino que también lo es por la increíble puesta de sol que tiene lugar cada tarde, y por la presencia de la isla de Cabrera (parque natural al cual solo se puede acceder por excursiones organizadas) en el horizonte.

Not only because this's one of the most spectacular beaches, but it's also the incredible sunset that takes place every evening, and the presence of the island of Cabrera (natural park which can only be accessed by organized tours) on the horizon.
No olvidéis que éstas son unas de las pocas playas que aguardan en la isla de Mallorca. Espero que la isla os guste tanto como a mí.

EXCURSIÓN TORRENTE DE PAREIS

Cada semana temblaba la tierra cuando mis padres me decían que el sábado nos íbamos de excursión a la montaña. Pero ahora, papá y mamá si lo leéis, os doy las gracias.

Each week the earth shook when my parents told me that on Saturday we went to the mountains. But now, Mum and Dad if you read it, I say you thank you.

Esta excursión fue la que más me impactó, sobre todo porque no solo íbamos los cuatro, sino porque ésta es obligatoria hacerla en grupo. Cada sábado (cuando el torrente ya está seco) un grupo de 16 personas se reúnen en el restaurante Escorca, en el municipio con el mismo nombre, a las 10:00. Los coches los bajarán los guías al aparcamiento de la playa para poder regresar a casa por la tarde.

This excursion was most impact me, especially since we weren't only four, but because this is donewith a group. Every Saturday (when the torrent is already dry) a group of 16 people meet at the restaurant Escorca in the municipality with the same name, at 10:00. The cars will lower guides the car park to the beach back home in the afternoon.


Dura hasta las 15:30. Durante estas tres horas, descenderemos por un sendero en plena montaña hasta llegar a lo que se conoce como s’Entreforc, donde descansaremos 10 minutos. Para seguir con la aventura, nos desviaremos para ver la salida de Sa Fosca. Comemos a la sombra en la cueva des Romegueral para finalizar la ruta en la playa de Sa Calobra.

The tour lasts until 15:30. During these three hours, we descend along a path in the mountains until you reach what is known as s'Entreforc, where we rest 10 minutes. To continue the adventure, we will turn aside to see the exit of Sa Fosca. We eat in the shade at the Cave des Romegueral to finish the route on the beach of Sa Calobra.

SA CALOBRA

Posiblemente la playa más visitada de Mallorca por su belleza y espectacularidad. No había año que no fuera, hasta que se volvió demasiado turística.

Existen tres maneras de llegar:

There're three ways to get there:

1. En coche: a 38 km de Sóller (precioso pueblo), la encontraremos perfectamente señalizada. La carretera para llegar hasta allí se conoce como Nus de la Cobrata (nudo de corbata) por las innumerables vueltas que da, son 13 km para descender 900 metros.

1. Car: 38 km from Sóller (nice town), we'll find clearly marked. The road to get there's called the Nus de Corbata(tie knot) by the countless laps he gives, is 13 km to go down 900 meters.

2. En golondrinas (barcos turísticos) que salen desde el puerto de Sóller y son una buena alternativa para llegar hasta ahí.

En el primer caso, no se preocupe por el aparcamiento porque hay parking. Caminaremos unos 300 metros por un paseo en los acantilados, parte de él dentro de un túnel, hasta llegar a la desembocadura del torrente de Pareis, con una pequeña playa (Sa Calobra).

No existen carteles que prohíban el acceso de animales, pero al ser una playa tan pequeña recomiendo mejor colocarse más al fondo (en la desembocadura) para no molestar.

There aren't signs prohibiting the entrance of animals, but as the beach is so small, I recommend go further back (in the mouth) to not disturb.

SON SERRA DE MARINA

Si os soy sincera al principio odiaba esta playa. No porque no me gustase su paisaje, sino porque soy una cabezota e insistí en meterme en la zona rocosa cuando había un fuerte oleaje y acabé con bastantes heridas en piernas, barriga y brazos al haber sido arrastrada por la corriente hacia la costa, que repito era rocosa.

If I'm honest at first I hated this beach. Not because I liked the scenery, but because I'm a stubborn and insisted on getting into the rocky area where there was heavy waves and I ended up with enough wounds on legs, belly and arms having been dragged by the current towards the coast, I repeat thar it was rocky.

Pero olvidando este percance, la verdad es que cada vez que voy le encuentro algo que hace que me guste más ese sitio.

But forgetting this disaster, it's truth that every time I go I find something that I like better that site.

Dentro del municipio de Santa Margalida, tardaremos una hora desde Palma hasta la playa. Yendo por la carretera de Marratxí hasta Inca, cambiaremos de dirección hacia Santa Margalida, y desde ahí, giraremos en la MA-12, directos a la costa. Desde el parking deberemos caminar por un pequeño paseo de 200 metros hasta la playa.

Within the municipality of Santa Margalida, we have to drive for one hour from Palma to the beach. Going down the Marratxí road to Inca; we'll change direction to Santa Margalida, and from there we turn on the MA-12, direct to the coast. From the parking we've to walk 200 meters to the beach. Situada entre dos playas vírgenes, Sa Canova y Son Real (ambas en la bahía de Alcudia), en una zona donde la única construcción son chales usados como segunda residencia. Mide 500 metros de largo y 100 de ancho. Poco frecuentada, con oleaje moderado, ideal para la práctica de deportes acuáticos como el windsurf.Los animales de compañía están permitidos y además es un sitio ideal para jugar con ellos.

Located between two natural beaches, Sa Canova and Son Real (both in the Bay of Alcudia), in an area where the only buildings are used as second homes. It measures 500 meters long and 100 wide. There aren't a lot of people and it's ideal for water sports like windsurfing. Pets are allowed and it's and ideal place to play with their. Por todos aquellos días en Son Serra de Marina.

CALA MESQUIDA

No es corriente encontrar en una playa de Mallorca unas dunas, pero en Cala Mesquida, al noroeste de la isla, sí, y por eso de es una de mis playas favoritas de la isla.

It isn't common to find a Mallorca beach dunes, but in Cala Mesquida, northwest of the island, itself and is the reason it is one of my favorite beaches on the island.

Durante una hora y media desde Palma, deberemos ir por la carretera de Marratxí hasta llegar Inca, y desviarnos hacia Artà o Capdepera (dependiendo que nombre esté señalizado). Una vez hayamos llegado Capdepera, llegado a MA-15, deberemos ir alerta para no equivocarnos (la señalización correspondiente está en una rotonda).

En una zona semiurbana, con un chiringuito donde os recomiendo pediros una copa de helado; es una playa bastante abierta al mar, de 800 metro de longitud y 60 metros de arena llana a la que hay que sumarle el espacio ocupado por las dunas. A los lados se ve un hotel (en el izquierdo) y las montañas de Son Jaumell, a través de la cual podemos llegar a Cala Ratjada o a Atlaya de Son Jaumell (no apto para perezosos) donde hay una torre vigía desde donde se vigilaba a los piratas.

Durante años, fue el escenario principal de las persecuciones entre guardias civiles y contrabandistas de tabaco y café. Fue tan popular que se llegó a construir un cuartel de la guardia civil, pero ahora está abandonado.

Las dunas formadas por montañas de 15 metros es el elemento especial de la playa. En ellas se conserva la típica vegetación de duna, prácticamente inexistente en toda la zona occidental por haber sido destruidas por la construcción.

Los perros de compañía están permitidos. El único inconveniente que le encuentro es que es frecuente encontrar el mar revuelto y con bandera roja (solo se permite el baño a los surfistas u otros deportes acuáticos que requieran de esas condiciones climáticas).

Pets are allowed. The only disadvantage I find is that normally you can see turbulent sea and find the red flag (only allows surfers bath or other water sports that require these weather conditions). Como alternativa, le recomiendo que vuelva atrás y disfrute de la playa de Canyamel, donde seguramente la bandera ondeará de color verde.

An alternative I recommend you go back and enjoy Canyamel beach, where probably will wave the green flag.
