CAIÓN

Fue la última playa que visitamos (el resto de días los pasamos en Razo) y posiblemente nunca nos hayamos cansado tanto ni hayamos pasado tanto frio en una playa.

It was the last beach we visited (the other days were spent in Razo beach) and possibly we had never so tired and we hadn't pass so cold on a beach.

Dentro de la provincia de A Coruña encontramos otra belleza costera, Caión, perteneciente al municipio de Laracha. Desde ahí tomamos la carretera hasta el pueblo de Caión cogiendo el desvío hacia la playa.

Within the province of A Coruña we find another nice zone near the sea, Caión, in the municipality of Laracha. From there we take the road to the village of Caión taking the detour to the beach.

Es la playa principal de la zona de Caión, también conocida como “Caracoliño”. Su forma varía depeniendo de las mareas: en bajamar queda unida a la playa de Carce Vella, frecuente por estar resguardada. Compuesta por arena blanca y fina. A pesar de estar resguardada el oleaje en la playa es fuerte, por lo que es común encontrar surfistas gozándose las olas.Es también zona de fondeo de embarcaciones.

Caión it's the main beach of the area, also known as "Caracoliño". Its form varies depending on the tides: at low tide is connected to the beach Carce Vella, often it is sheltered. Composed of fine white sand. Despite being sheltered at the beach, waves are stronger,and this is the reason that it's common to find surfers enjoying the waves. Delighting the boat docking area too.

Para los más aventureros, existen dos zonas de camping cerca: el camping de Baldaio y el camping de “Os Delfins”.

For the more adventurous people, there are two camping areas nearby: Baldaio and "Os Delfins".

Espero volver pronto a Galicia con mi amiga María y volver a disfrutar de sus playas, si puede ser con temperaturas más elevadas, de su gastronomía y de sus gentes.

I hope to return soon with my friend Maria to Galicia and enjoy its beaches, if it's possible at higher temperatures, its gastronomy and its people.

Un dato de interés: todos los años en septiembre se celebra el Festival de Reggae en A Coruña, quien tenga la oportunidad de asistir que no la pierda porque es buen rollo asegurado.

An interesting fact: it's the Reggae Festival A Coruña in September every year, who have the opportunity to attend it, don't loose it!
